I/O device states

• The USB protocol distinguishes several I/O device states

  • Attached: hub signals a plug in on a port
  • Powered: hub configured and operational
  • Default: USB has received the device descriptors
  • Addressed: USB has assigned a 7-bit address to the device
  • Configured: USB has checked that the device is addressable
  • Suspended: device low-powered
